WHAT QUALIFICATION DO I GET?
With this course you gain the following qualification:
Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Process and Practice
This qualification allows you to IV Vocationally Related Qualifications (VRQ) and National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ). On certification you gain 16 Continual Development Points (CPD) with the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs).

Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Process and Practice
This qualification comprises of 2 mandatory units
- Unit 1 – Understanding the Principles and Practices of internally assuring the quality of assessment
- Unit 2 – Internally assure the quality of assessment
Successful achievement of the whole unit must be achieved for the full qualification.

Are there any Prerequisites?
- You must hold an assessors qualification to access this course. Show current evidence of Continuing Professional Development in assessment and quality assurance Have up-to-date working knowledge and experience of best practice in assessment and quality assurance
- This qualification is for adults (aged 19+) who wish to widen their career pathway and skill set within their chosen sector by developing their quality assurance best practice. You must have occupational and technical competence in the areas that you wish to internally verify.
How do I book?
- Stage 1 –You can either complete the contact form by clicking here ,or you can scroll down the page and click on the book course which will open up a new page. Once we have received your contact information we will email the enrolment documents to complete.
- You can also telephone and we will start the process by emailing you the documents.
- Stage 2 –Once we have received all documents and payment you will receive the resources for the course. This will take approximately a week to process. If you would like to use our interest free payment plan please ask as details will then be emailed to you.
- Stage 3 –You can start learning once you have received all resources. You will be guided how to start and what is required. You will be provided with your tutor contact details.
- Stage 4 –You will be emailed the course schedule which will give you the venue address and requirements.

Learning Course Stages
- Stage 1 –Once you have enrolled onto the course you will be provided with your learning resources. This process can take up to 5 working days to process.
- Stage 2 –You will be provided with your tutor details who will contact you.
- Stage 3 –You can start working once you receive your learning resources,
- Stage 4 –You will submit all work for marking.
- Stage 5 –When you are ready we will provide you with a list of assessment dates for the practical assessment. You also have the choice to submit the practical assessment by DVD / as a recording. Guidelines will be issued for this process.
- Stage 6 –Once all units have passed and your work has been through our quality assurance process your certificate will be requested from the awarding body. Once we receive your certificate we will post to you.

How will I be assessed?
- To achieve the qualification you must complete and pass the following:
- Worksheet
- Compile a portfolio providing required evidence
- Observation of performance
- Examining products of work
- N.B. You must have access to at least 2 assessors who are working with a minimum of 2 learners each to complete this qualification. You will be observed IVing / performing Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) for this assessment.
Is there a charge for re taking a part of my assessment?
- There will be a £50.00 charge for all practical reassessments. Theory papers are free.

Awarding Body
The Awarding body for the qualification is YMCA Awards. Once you have achieved all elements of the qualification and the quality assurance process has been completed your nationally recognised certificate will be processed.
Progression
Internal Quality Assurance (IQA)
This course is for all who are 19+ and are wishing to pursue a career in Internal Quality Assurance for VRQs & NVQs. This qualification is open to all industries not just the fitness industry. IV in your specialist field.
